Nevoy

Nevoy is a small village in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, located right next to Gien and the Loire river. Its rural setting, featuring farmland and woodland close to the Orléans forest, makes it well suited to a quiet stay away from urban bustle. Nearby Gien offers access to its medieval castle, home to the international Hunting Museum, its renowned earthenware tradition, and its riverside quays along the Loire. The Loire à Vélo cycle route, which follows the river, passes close by and provides a pleasant way to explore the surrounding villages and Loire Valley landscapes. The climate, a degraded oceanic type, brings mild summers and gentle winters, favourable for outdoor activities for much of the year. The area also allows visits to other sites within the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage region, along with its châteaux and vineyards typical of the valley. Nevoy therefore serves as a peaceful base from which to explore the Gien area and the Loire river at a relaxed pace.
