Jouy le potier

Jouy-le-Potier is a village in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, set in the heart of the Sologne area, around twenty kilometres south of Orléans. The village lies within this distinctive Sologne landscape, characterised by ponds, oak and pine woodland, and heathland traditionally used for hunting and nature walks. Its name recalls an old local pottery craft, once practised in the area thanks to the presence of clay-rich soil.
