Dampierre en burly

Dampierre-en-Burly is a small village in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, situated along the River Loire and close to the Orléans Forest. The village is notably known for its château, a reflection of the area's architectural heritage, as well as for the Dampierre-en-Burly nuclear power station located on the riverbank. The rural, wooded surroundings create a peaceful setting, ideal for walking and hiking, thanks to the numerous trails running through the Orléans Forest, one of the largest woodlands in France. The nearby Loire also offers cycling routes, with sections linking to the well-known Loire à Vélo cycle path. The surrounding countryside, shaped by the Sologne and Loire Valley landscapes, is appreciated for its regional cuisine, featuring local produce such as game, asparagus and regional wines.
