Baule

Baule is a village in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, located within the Loire Valley, just a few kilometres from Orléans, Beaugency and Meung-sur-Loire. The area lies within the Loire Valley landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its châteaux and river scenery. Its proximity to the River Loire makes it well suited for cycling, particularly along the Loire à Vélo route that runs through the region, as well as for exploring the local wildlife and countryside. From here, it's easy to reach the great Loire Valley châteaux, such as Chambord or Chaumont-sur-Loire, along with the historic city of Orléans, closely associated with Joan of Arc. The climate is temperate, with mild summers and moderate winters, making outdoor activities enjoyable for much of the year. The region is also known for its local produce, including Loire Valley wines and goat's cheese. Baule therefore offers a quiet base from which to discover the natural and architectural heritage of the Loire Valley.
