Blavozy

Blavozy is a small village in the Haute-Loire department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, located just a few kilometres from Le Puy-en-Velay, the departmental capital known for its Notre-Dame cathedral, iconic statues and lace market. The village offers a typically rural setting within the Velay area, characterised by rolling hills and a landscape shaped by ancient volcanic activity. The semi-continental, high-altitude climate brings relatively mild summers and cooler winters, making the warmer months ideal for outdoor pursuits. Its proximity to Le Puy-en-Velay provides easy access to shops, services and tourist attractions in the Puy basin, while retaining a quieter, more countryside atmosphere. The wider region is popular with hikers, thanks to trails linking the Velay area to the Auvergne volcanoes, and lies close to historic routes leading towards Santiago de Compostela.
