St-Hilaire-de-Court

Saint-Hilaire-de-Court is a village in the Cher department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, set on the banks of the River Cher near Vierzon. It lies at the heart of the Quincy vineyard area, one of France's oldest appellations d'origine contrôlée, known for its dry white wines made from Sauvignon grapes. The surrounding countryside offers a typical Berry landscape of vineyards, meadows and riverside paths, ideal for walking and fishing. The village's location provides easy access to Vierzon, a nearby town with shops and amenities, as well as to the larger towns of Bourges and Vatan, both around thirty minutes away by car. The area is well suited to exploring the local wine heritage, with opportunities to visit vineyards and sample Quincy wines.
