Montierchaume

Montierchaume is a small village in the Indre department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, located a few kilometres north-east of Châteauroux, the county town. It forms part of the Châteauroux Métropole area and lies right next to Châteauroux-Déols Airport. The village sits within the typical agricultural landscape of the Champagne berrichonne, characterised by large arable fields and a quiet rural setting well suited to countryside walks. Its location provides easy access to the main road linking Paris and Toulouse, as well as to the shops and services of Châteauroux, just a short drive away. The surrounding area offers opportunities to explore the Berry region, including the Indre valley and, further south, the Brenne Regional Nature Park, known for its ponds and wildlife. The climate is a degraded oceanic type, with reasonably warm summers and mild winters.
