Chaillac

Chaillac is a small rural village in the southern part of the Indre department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, close to the Brenne Regional Nature Park, often nicknamed the 'land of a thousand ponds'. The village is known for its mining past, particularly the extraction of fluorite, a heritage now commemorated by a local eco-museum dedicated to this resource and its industrial history.
