Sauzelles

Sauzelles is a small rural village in the Indre department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, within the historic Berry area of France. Located close to the Brenne Regional Natural Park, often nicknamed the land of a thousand ponds, it offers a peaceful setting well suited to nature lovers and birdwatchers, as Brenne is well known for its rich wildlife, particularly migratory birds. The village enjoys an unspoilt countryside setting, with landscapes of hedgerows, ponds and woodland typical of the Berry region. The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cycling, as well as exploring the local heritage found in neighbouring villages. Argenton-sur-Creuse, a larger town nearby, offers shops, a railway station and notable architecture, including its houses perched above the River Creuse. The regional climate is a degraded oceanic type, with mild summers and relatively cool winters.
