Rosnay

Rosnay is a small rural village in the Indre department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, known as one of the gateways to the Brenne Regional Nature Park, often referred to as the 'land of a thousand ponds'. The Maison du Parc, the park's main information and visitor centre, is located here, making it a useful starting point for exploring the local wildlife and countryside, particularly the many bird species found around the surrounding ponds. The landscape is characterised by hedgerowed farmland, ponds and woodland, ideal for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, birdwatching and fishing. The atmosphere is quiet and rural, far removed from urban bustle, with a well-preserved natural environment. The surrounding area also offers the chance to discover other traditional Berry villages and the region's understated architectural heritage, featuring stone houses and small rural churches. Rosnay therefore makes an appealing base for nature-focused breaks, green tourism and exploring the biodiversity of the Brenne, set within the peaceful, typically central French countryside.
