Pians

Pians is a small village in the Austrian Tyrol, located in the Stanzertal valley within the district of Landeck, at the foot of the Arlberg massif. The village lies close to Landeck, a town known for its medieval castle, and to St. Anton am Arlberg, a well-known resort for alpine skiing and winter sports. Nearby stands the notable Trisanna Bridge, a striking railway viaduct close to Wiesberg Castle. The surrounding landscape is typically alpine, featuring wooded slopes, high-altitude pastures and peaks frequently exceeding 2,500 metres. This setting naturally lends itself to hiking in summer and snow sports in winter, with easy access to the Arlberg ski areas. The climate is continental and mountainous, bringing snowy winters and mild, moderately warm summers. Pians retains a quiet, rural character, away from the bustle of the larger neighbouring resorts, while serving as a convenient base for exploring western Tyrol, its valleys and traditional villages.
