Les Diablerets

Les Diablerets is a mountain village in the canton of Vaud, nestled at the foot of the massif and glacier of the same name, between the Col du Pillon and Col de la Croix. This Vaud Alps resort is popular in both winter and summer thanks to its proximity to Glacier 3000, reachable by cable car from the Col du Pillon, which offers high-altitude ski slopes and the Peak Walk by Tissot, a suspension bridge connecting two summits. The local ski area links up with that of Villars-Gryon, forming an extensive skiing region. In summer, the village serves as a starting point for hiking, mountaineering and mountain biking, with views over surrounding glaciers and limestone cliffs. The traditional chalet-style architecture and peaceful atmosphere of the village contrast with the buzz of more urban resorts. Les Diablerets enjoys a distinctly alpine climate, with generally reliable snow cover during the winter season. Easily accessible from Aigle or Gstaad, the village remains a favoured destination for nature lovers and mountain sports enthusiasts, in a setting still relatively untouched by mass tourism.
