Steinach am Brenner

Steinach am Brenner is a market town in Austrian Tyrol, situated in the Wipptal valley along the historic Brenner Pass route linking Austria and Italy. Straddling the River Sill, the settlement has long served as a resting point for travellers crossing this Alpine pass, giving it a longstanding tradition of hospitality. Today, Steinach is a convenient starting point for exploring the side valleys of Gschnitztal and Obernbergtal, popular for summer hiking and winter snowshoeing.
