Fliess

Fliess is a village in the Austrian Tyrol, located in the Landeck district on a sun-drenched plateau above the Inn Valley, often referred to as the 'sun plateau'. This mid-mountain village benefits from generous sunshine and serves as a gateway to the Kaunertal valley and its glacier, as well as to the neighbouring ski areas of Fiss, Ladis and Serfaus. The alpine surroundings offer an extensive network of hiking trails and mountain biking routes, popular during the summer months, while winter draws skiers and snowshoers thanks to the nearby lift systems. Traditional Tyrolean architecture, featuring timber farmhouses and small chapels, characterises the village's built landscape. The area is also known for prehistoric archaeological remains, evidence of early settlement in the region. The mountain climate, with mild summers and snowy winters, makes Fliess a suitable destination for active breaks throughout the year, combining unspoilt nature with the outdoor activities typical of the Tyrol region.
