Bad Kleinkirchheim

Bad Kleinkirchheim is a spa and ski resort in Carinthia, southern Austria, nestled within the Nockberge mountain range. The village is known for its thermal springs, used since Roman times, and for wellness facilities such as the Römerbad and Kärntner Therme, fed by naturally warm water. The ski area extends to the neighbouring resort of Sankt Oswald and offers slopes suited to both families and experienced skiers, including a downhill run named after Olympic champion Franz Klammer, who was born in the area. Bad Kleinkirchheim regularly hosts international biathlon competitions, contributing to its sporting reputation. In summer, the region serves as a popular starting point for hiking and cycling, particularly along the scenic Nockalmstraße road that crosses the Nockberge nature park.
