Ludmannsdorf

Ludmannsdorf is a rural municipality in Carinthia, Austria, located in the Klagenfurt-Land district, within the Rosental valley formed by the Drava (Drau) river, between the foothills of the Karawanks and the Sattnitz range. This bilingual area, shaped by the historical presence of Carinthia's Slovene-speaking minority, is characterised by traditional villages, scattered farmsteads and gently rolling countryside well suited to walking and cycling, including along the nearby Drau cycle path that follows the river. The region offers a peaceful, green setting away from busier tourist areas, while remaining within easy reach of Klagenfurt, Carinthia's capital, and Lake Wörthersee, popular for watersports.
