Bedrichov

Bedřichov is a small village nestled in the Jizera Mountains (Jizerské hory), within the Liberec region in northern Czechia. Set amid a hilly, forested landscape, it is best known as a popular winter sports destination, particularly for cross-country skiing, thanks to an extensive network of groomed trails winding through the surrounding woodland. The village is home to a biathlon stadium that has hosted international competitions, establishing Bedřichov as a notable venue for the sport in Central Europe. The Bedřichov dam and reservoir, built in the early 20th century, is a local point of interest and a favoured spot for walks. In summer, the area draws hikers and cyclists thanks to its forest trails and gentle mountain scenery.
