Plavsko

Plavsko is a small village in South Bohemia, located in the Jindřichův Hradec district, within the wooded hills of the Českomoravská vrchovina (Bohemian-Moravian Highlands). This rural area, set at a moderate altitude with a temperate continental climate, is characterised by forests, the fishponds typical of South Bohemia, and gently rolling landscapes well suited to walking and cycling. The village lies close to Kunžak and Jindřichův Hradec, a town known for its castle and historic centre, as well as near the ruins of Landštejn Castle, a notable example of medieval architecture in the region. The quiet, sparsely built-up surroundings appeal to those looking to escape more heavily touristed areas. In winter, the hilly terrain lends itself to cross-country skiing, while summer brings favourable conditions for forest walks and exploring the nearby ponds.
