Neznasov

Neznašov is a small village in South Bohemia, Czech Republic, located in the Tábor district on the banks of the River Lužnice. It lies right next to Bechyně, a historic town known for its spa tradition and castle. The village is notable for being served by the Tábor–Bechyně railway line, one of the earliest electrified railways in Central Europe, dating back to the early twentieth century, along with a viaduct that spans the Lužnice valley. The surrounding countryside, typical of South Bohemia, features forests, gentle hills and numerous fishponds traditionally used for carp farming. The area is well suited to outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling and river fishing. Neznašov offers a quiet base from which to explore this rural corner of the country, combining unspoilt nature with the railway heritage and spa culture of the neighbouring towns, well away from the tourist crowds found in the Czech Republic's larger cities.
