Chlivce

Chlivce is a small village located in the Broumov region of eastern Bohemia, close to the Polish border. This area, known as Broumovsko, is characterised by rolling hills, woodland and distinctive rock formations typical of north-eastern Czechia, similar to those found in the nearby Adršpach and Teplice rock massifs. The region mainly attracts hikers and nature lovers, thanks to a network of marked trails winding through hills, meadows and forested areas. The climate is temperate continental, with mild summers and colder winters, offering outdoor activities suited to each season. Surrounding villages retain traditional rural architecture, including stone farmhouses and modest churches reflecting the area's local heritage. The proximity to Poland also makes cross-border day trips straightforward. Chlivce therefore serves as a quiet base for exploring the Broumovsko region, away from the busier tourist routes, within a well-preserved natural setting that is sparsely populated and valued for its tranquillity and rural authenticity.
