Adršpach

Adršpach is a small village in north-eastern Bohemia, Czech Republic, located in the Broumov region close to the Polish border. It is best known for the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, a protected natural area featuring dramatic sandstone rock formations shaped by erosion, some rising several dozen metres high. This rocky landscape, crossed by marked trails, wooden walkways and narrow gorges, draws hikers and climbers throughout the year. A short boat trip on a small lake tucked between the rock walls is one of the area's signature activities. The surroundings are wooded, peaceful and typical of Central European mid-mountain scenery, with a continental climate bringing cold winters and mild summers well suited to outdoor pursuits. The village itself remains modest, offering a handful of guesthouses, restaurants and shops geared towards nature tourism. Adršpach serves as a convenient base for exploring the wider area, including the neighbouring Teplice Rocks, which together with Adršpach form a protected nature reserve especially popular among hikers and landscape photographers.
