Kęty

Kęty is a small town in southern Poland, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, set along the Soła River at the foot of the Beskids, a range of mid-sized mountains popular for hiking. The town is known as the birthplace of Saint John Kanty (Jan Kanty), a 15th-century theologian and professor whose name is linked to the town itself. The historic centre retains a handful of older buildings and a church reflecting this religious heritage.
