Sasino

Sasino is a small village in Pomerania, within the Choczewo municipality, located right by the Polish Baltic coast. The 84-210 postcode covers this stretch of coastline, known for its fine sandy beaches backed by pine woods and dunes, typical of the Pomeranian shoreline. The area lies within the Coastal Landscape Park (Nadmorski Park Krajobrazowy), which protects a mix of forests, peat bogs and wetlands close to the sea. Sasino tends to attract visitors seeking peace and quiet, away from busier resorts such as Łeba, around twenty kilometres away and famous for its shifting sand dunes. The surrounding countryside is well suited to walking and cycling, with trails running through woodland down to the shore. Sea bathing and fishing remain popular during the summer months, while winter brings a wilder, windswept character to the coast. The village itself remains modest, with scattered housing and a limited choice of eateries, generally focused on local produce and smoked fish, a speciality of the Pomeranian coast.
