Immenstaad

Immenstaad am Bodensee is a small town on the northern shore of Lake Constance, in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, close to Friedrichshafen. Known for its orchards and vineyards, the town benefits from the mild climate typical of the Lake Constance region, which favours fruit growing, particularly apples, alongside wine production on the surrounding slopes. Immenstaad offers direct access to the lakeshore, with beaches and green spaces well suited to swimming in summer and lakeside walks. The harbour and promenade are popular spots for taking in views across the Bodensee and, on clear days, towards the Swiss Alps in the distance. The area is also popular with cyclists, with routes connecting Immenstaad to nearby towns such as Friedrichshafen, noted for its history linked to Zeppelin airships, and Meersburg, a historic town further along the lake. Immenstaad serves as a quiet base for exploring Lake Constance, combining nature, water-based activities and regional heritage, while retaining a residential, rural character shaped by its orchards and vineyards.
