Lossiemouth

Lossiemouth is a small coastal town in Moray, north-east Scotland, on the shores of the Moray Firth. Once a working fishing port, it retains an active harbour and two well-known sandy beaches, East Beach and West Beach, separated by the mouth of the River Lossie and linked by a footbridge. The town is recognised as the birthplace of Ramsay MacDonald, the first Labour Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Its identity is also shaped by the nearby RAF Lossiemouth airbase. Golf enthusiasts will find Moray Golf Club, one of Scotland's oldest links courses, close at hand. The waters of the Moray Firth are home to a resident dolphin population, occasionally spotted from the shoreline.
