Ostseebad Prerow

Ostseebad Prerow is a seaside resort on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula, on Germany's Baltic coast in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The village is known for its thatched-roof captains' houses, remnants of its seafaring and fishing past, and for its 19th-century timber church, the Seemannskirche, decorated with maritime votive ships. The long sandy beach, lined with colourful beach chairs, stretches towards a pier popular for strolling and fishing. Prerow lies on the edge of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park, giving direct access to the Darß forest and the Darßer Ort nature reserve, noted for its lighthouse and wild shoreline where trees have been shaped by the wind.
