Trebarwith Strand

Trebarwith Strand is a beach on the north Cornish coast, close to the village of Tintagel. The site is known for its sandy shore flanked by dramatic cliffs, with a landscape that changes considerably with the tides: at high tide, the water covers most of the sand, while at low tide a wide expanse opens up, ideal for walking and exploring the rock formations. The beach is popular with surfers thanks to its consistent waves, as well as with walkers following the South West Coast Path, which runs along steep cliffs offering views over the Atlantic Ocean. The hamlet is home to a traditional pub, the Port William, set right by the sea and well regarded for its terrace overlooking the bay. The surrounding area, shaped by a windy oceanic climate, remains rural and largely undeveloped, with Tintagel and its well-known ruined castle just a few miles away. Trebarwith Strand mainly draws visitors interested in nature, coastal walking and watersports, seeking an authentic and unspoilt corner of Cornwall.
