Bad Saarow

Bad Saarow is a spa town in the Brandenburg region of Germany, set on the shores of Lake Scharmützelsee, roughly an hour's drive south-east of Berlin. Recognised as a health resort since the early twentieth century, the town retains a collection of period villas and spa houses, particularly around the Kurpark and the lakeside promenade. Lake Scharmützelsee, one of the larger lakes in the area, offers swimming, sailing and walking or cycling routes along its wooded shoreline.
