Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf, in East London (E14), is one of the UK's principal financial districts, built on the former docks of the Isle of Dogs. Dominated by landmark towers such as One Canada Square, the HSBC Tower and the Citigroup Centre, the area is home to major international financial institutions including Barclays, Morgan Stanley and State Street. The historic West India Dock basins shape the public realm, surrounded by the Museum of London Docklands, Cabot Square and Canada Square Park. Jubilee Park provides a green space amid the glass towers. Canary Wharf benefits from excellent transport links via the Jubilee Line, the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail), giving easy access to the rest of London. The Canary Wharf shopping centre houses shops, restaurants and bars, particularly along West India Quay, where waterside terraces overlook the dock. In winter, a temporary ice rink and Christmas market bring seasonal activity to the area.
