Evijärvi

Evijärvi is a small rural municipality located in the South Ostrobothnia region of Finland, close to the border with Ostrobothnia. It takes its name from Lake Evijärvi, one of the larger bodies of water in the area, which plays a central role in the local landscape and provides opportunities for fishing, boating and other water-based activities during the summer months. The municipality retains a strongly agricultural character, typical of the Finnish countryside, with grain farming and livestock rearing forming the backbone of the local economy.
