Haukipudas

Haukipudas is a former coastal district north of Oulu, in the North Ostrobothnia region of Finland, which was administratively merged into the city of Oulu in 2013. Bordering the Gulf of Bothnia, the area is characterised by extensive boreal forests, rocky shorelines and the mouth of the Kiiminkijoki river. The wooden Haukipudas Church, dating back to the 18th century, is one of the village's historic landmarks.
