Simo

Simo is a small municipality in northern Finland's Lapland region, situated on the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia and crossed by the Simojoki river, recognised as one of the few remaining wild salmon rivers in the area. The surrounding landscape is typical of northern Finland, featuring coniferous forests, wetlands, lakes and long sandy beaches along the shoreline. Its proximity to Kemi provides easy access to other regional attractions while allowing visitors to enjoy the tranquillity and unspoilt nature of Simo.
