Kolari

Kolari is a municipality in Finnish Lapland, on the border with Sweden, crossed by the Tornionjoki (Torne) river, well known for salmon fishing. The area is home to Ylläs, one of Finland's largest ski resorts, offering numerous downhill runs alongside an extensive network of trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The Ylläs fell, the region's highest point, provides sweeping views over the surrounding taiga and lies close to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park.
