Savitaipale

Savitaipale is a small rural municipality in the South Karelia region of eastern Finland, set within the Saimaa lake district. The landscape is defined by dense forests interspersed with numerous lakes, including Lake Kuolimo, known for its exceptionally clear waters and considered one of the cleanest lakes in the country. This unspoilt natural setting appeals to those seeking peace and quiet, with opportunities for fishing, boating and summer swimming.
