Mäntyharju

Mäntyharju is a municipality in the South Savo region of Finland, set within the heart of the Finnish Lake District, between Lake Puula and Lake Pyhävesi. This watery, forested landscape is typical of inland Finland, with numerous peninsulas and shorelines dotted with traditional holiday cottages (mökki). The area is popular for fishing, boating and swimming in summer, while winter brings cross-country skiing and snowshoeing once the lakes freeze over.
