Poperinge

Poperinge is a small town in West Flanders, Belgium, recognised as the country's historic hop-growing capital. Held every odd-numbered year, the local hop festival reflects the long-standing importance of this crop to the area. The Hop Museum, housed in a former hop warehouse, traces the agricultural and brewing traditions tied to the industry. The Grote Markt, lined with historic buildings, together with St Bertin's Church, forms the heart of the town centre.
