Saltum

Saltum is a small village in northern Jutland, within Jammerbugt Municipality, close to the popular seaside resort of Blokhus and the Jammerbugt bay on the North Sea coast. The area is known for its wide sandy beaches, tall dunes and pine plantations lining the shoreline, making it well suited to walking, cycling and hiking. Saltum is surrounded by numerous holiday homes, typical of this part of Denmark that is popular with Scandinavian and German families for summer breaks. The climate is oceanic, with mild summers and frequent winds, ideal for outdoor activities such as land sailing or kite flying on the beach. The surrounding countryside also features unspoilt natural landscapes, including heathland and marshes characteristic of northern Jutland. Blokhus, just a few minutes away, offers shops, restaurants and tourist facilities, making Saltum a peaceful base from which to explore this Danish coastal region, combining wild nature with low-key seaside tourism.
