Meribel various levels

Méribel is a Savoie ski resort in the Vanoise massif, spread across several altitude levels between Méribel-Village, Méribel-Centre, Méribel-Mottaret and the surrounding hamlets, at around 1,400 to 1,800 metres. It forms the heart of the Three Valleys ski area, recognised as one of the largest in the world, linked to Courchevel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires. The wood-and-stone architecture, governed by strict building regulations since the resort's founding in the 1930s by Colonel Peter Lindsay, gives Méribel a consistent and distinctive chalet style. Winter activities centre on alpine and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating, while summer brings hiking, downhill mountain biking and high-altitude golf. The Allues valley, nestled between the peaks of La Saulire and Mont Vallon, offers a typically forested Northern Alps setting. The various levels of the resort allow visitors to choose between slope-side convenience, quieter surroundings or easier access to shops and services, depending on the area selected.
