Oberperfuss

Oberperfuss is a village in the Austrian Tyrol, located in the Innsbruck-Land district, a few kilometres west of Innsbruck. Perched on a sunny plateau above the Inn Valley at around 900 metres altitude, it enjoys generous sunshine and open views towards the Nordkette range and the Stubai Alps. The village is recognised as a Kneipp health resort and a so-called 'herb village' (Kräuterdorf), featuring a herb garden that showcases local alpine plants. In winter, the Rangger Köpfl ski area, accessible from the village, offers alpine slopes and winter walking trails, while summer draws hikers thanks to a network of marked paths crossing meadows and alpine forests. The traditional Tyrolean architecture, with houses adorned with flower-filled balconies and a baroque parish church, gives the settlement a typical regional character. Oberperfuss serves as a peaceful base for exploring both the surrounding countryside and nearby Innsbruck, the regional capital renowned for its cultural heritage.
