Letna Troja

Letná and Troja are two districts in northern Prague, situated on either side of the Vltava river, within the postal area 17100 that covers Prague 7. Letná is known for its expansive hilltop park, which offers sweeping views over the Old Town and Charles Bridge, as well as for the large metal metronome standing on the site of the former Stalin monument. The park is also home to popular beer gardens and pétanque courts, particularly frequented in summer. Further north, Troja is notable for its 17th-century baroque château surrounded by formal French-style gardens, and for Prague Zoo, one of the most highly regarded in Europe, set within a green valley beside the river. The district also retains historic vineyards, including the Saint Clare vineyard, reflecting a long-standing local winemaking tradition. Riverside paths along the Vltava, suitable for cycling and walking, connect both districts and provide an easy route into central Prague, offering a quieter, greener alternative to the city's more heavily visited historic core.
