Ostseebad Lubmin

Ostseebad Lubmin is a Baltic Sea resort in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, located on the shores of the Greifswalder Bodden, not far from the university town of Greifswald. The town is known for its fine sandy beach, backed by a promenade, and for its pier (Seebrücke), one of the longest on Germany's Baltic coast, stretching well out into the bay and offering views of passing boats and sunsets. Its official status as a Baltic Sea health resort (Ostseebad) comes with a spa park (Kurpark) and treatment facilities geared towards relaxation and gentle walks. The surrounding area offers coastal cycling routes, including towards Freest and the Peenemünde peninsula, which is also reachable via the bridge to the island of Usedom. The region is characterised by the shallow lagoon landscapes typical of the Pomeranian coast, known locally as boddens, which are popular for sailing and birdwatching. With its temperate maritime climate and comparatively quiet atmosphere, Lubmin is well suited to relaxed stays away from the busier resorts of Usedom or Rügen.
