Huskvarna

Huskvarna is a locality within Jönköping Municipality in Sweden, situated on the shore of Lake Vättern, the country's second-largest lake, known for its remarkably clear waters. The town owes its reputation to its industrial past: it is home to the Husqvarna company, founded in the late 17th century as an arms factory before diversifying over the centuries into bicycles, sewing machines, motorcycles, and later garden equipment and chainsaws. The Husqvarna Museum documents this industrial heritage through its collections. The Huskvarna River runs through the town and once provided the hydraulic power needed for the factory's workshops; its banks now host a well-used walking path along the water.
