Naleczow

Naleczow is a small spa town in south-eastern Poland, in the Lublin Voivodeship, known since the nineteenth century for its restful climate and mineral water springs traditionally used in the treatment of heart conditions. The town is centred around a wooded park dating from that period, featuring wooden pavilions typical of Polish spa architecture, along with public mineral water fountains. The eighteenth-century Małachowski Palace is one of the town's notable historic buildings and now houses spa treatment facilities. Naleczow also has strong literary associations, having been a regular retreat for Polish writers Bolesław Prus and Stefan Żeromski, both of whom are commemorated by museums in the town. The surrounding setting remains calm and green, well suited to walking, with a modest urban layout combining period villas and spa infrastructure. The wider countryside, rural and gently rolling, is characteristic of eastern Lesser Poland, and lies around thirty kilometres from Lublin, the region's main city.
