Chlapowo

Chłapowo is a small coastal village in the Pomeranian region of Poland, part of the Władysławowo municipality, close to Cape Rozewie. It stands out for its coastal cliffs, an unusual feature along this generally flat stretch of the Polish Baltic coast, offering scenic sea views. The village retains the character of a traditional fishing settlement, with boats drawn up on the sandy beach and stalls selling smoked fish, a typical speciality of the coastline. The surroundings combine beaches, wooded dunes and coastal footpaths linking Chłapowo to Władysławowo and the Rozewie lighthouse, one of Poland's northernmost points. The area has a temperate maritime climate, with mild summers suited to swimming and cool, windy winters. Tourism here is seasonal, centred on beach holidays, walks along the cliffs and exploring the maritime heritage of the Hel region. Chłapowo makes a quiet base for exploring the Hel Peninsula and the Bay of Gdańsk, away from the busier, more crowded resorts nearby.
