Torrox Costa

Torrox Costa is a seaside resort on the Costa del Sol coastline, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia. It comprises a modern seafront area, with a long promenade lined with restaurants and sandy beaches, and an older village core, Torrox Pueblo, located a few kilometres inland, which retains a traditional Andalusian character with its whitewashed streets. The area enjoys a particularly mild climate throughout the year, making it a popular destination in both summer and winter. The hinterland, part of the Axarquía district, offers opportunities for walking amid olive groves, almond trees and vineyards used to produce local moscatel wine. Local cuisine focuses on fried fish and seafood, typical of the Málaga coast. Torrox Costa is well placed for visiting other towns in the region, such as Nerja with its well-known cave, or the city of Málaga, around 45 minutes away by car. The resort has the shops and services needed for a beach holiday, without the level of tourist bustle found in some other Costa del Sol resorts.
