Krynica Morska

Krynica Morska is a small seaside resort in Poland, located on the Vistula Spit (Mierzeja Wiślana), a narrow strip of land separating the Baltic Sea from the Vistula Lagoon. This unique geography gives access to both fine sandy beaches facing the sea and calmer lagoon shores, popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The surrounding area is covered with pine forests and dunes, including the well-known Great Dune (Wielka Wydma), one of the highest on the Polish coast, offering views over both bodies of water. The town serves as a base for walking and cycling routes running the length of the spit, as well as for day trips to Gdańsk or the port city of Elbląg. A shipping canal was cut through the spit to provide Elbląg with direct access to the Baltic Sea. The climate is temperate and maritime, with mild summers that draw significant numbers of holidaymakers during the peak season, while winters remain quiet and sparsely populated.
