Mielno

Mielno is a seaside resort on the Baltic coast, located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, close to Koszalin. The town stretches along a wide sandy beach backed by dunes and a lively promenade during the summer season, popular with Polish families and German tourists alike. Mielno is separated from Lake Jamno by a narrow strip of land, giving it access to both the open sea and a sheltered lake area well suited to water sports such as kitesurfing and windsurfing. The town centre features fish restaurants, cafés and seasonal shops typical of Polish coastal resorts. The area is also known for its cycle paths linking neighbouring seaside villages, as well as its temperate maritime climate, with mild summers and a constant sea breeze. Mielno remains primarily a summer destination, with visitor numbers dropping noticeably outside peak season. The surrounding countryside offers unspoilt natural scenery, including pine forests and protected wetlands, appreciated by walkers and birdwatchers.
