Ustka

Ustka is a seaside resort and small fishing port on Poland's Baltic coast, in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, at the mouth of the Słupia River and close to Słupsk. The town is known for its long, fine sandy beach backed by pine woodland, and for its pier (molo), which offers open views out to sea. The seafront, with its pedestrian promenade and shops, forms the hub of summer activity. The working harbour allows visitors to watch the fishing boats come in and to buy smoked fish, a local speciality sold at stalls and served in the small seafront restaurants. The maritime climate, milder in summer and breezier in autumn and winter, draws both families on holiday and those seeking sea-air health treatments, as the town has wellness facilities linked to its coastal setting. The surrounding area is well suited to cycling along the coastline and to day trips to nearby forests and lakes. Ustka remains a typical Polish coastal destination, combining traditional seaside tourism with an active, well-preserved fishing port.
