Balatonföldvár and Balatonszárszó are two neighbouring resorts on the southern shore of Lake Balaton in Hungary, an area known for its sandy beaches and lively summer holiday atmosphere. Balatonföldvár is notable for its marina, built in the 1930s, as well as its tree-lined promenade and supervised beaches, popular for swimming and water sports such as sailing and pedal boating.
