Balatonföldvár

Balatonföldvár is a lakeside resort on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, known for its yacht marina, one of the largest on the lake, and its distinctive pier featuring a rotunda overlooking the water. The tree-lined promenade, shaded by century-old plane trees, connects the fine sandy beach to the surrounding residential areas, creating a relaxed setting ideal for walking. The lake's moderating effect on the continental climate makes June to September the best months to visit, with waters often warmer than on other parts of Lake Balaton.
